The Ripple: An Awakening to The Great Wave

Book One of The Little Light Library—a luminous fantasy adventure for readers ages 7–10.

The Ripple-An Awakening to The Great Wave- Book 1

In the magical world of Sylvalume, every living creature is connected by something greater than itself—the mysterious Great Wave.

When Nixee, a young Rippledink, begins to notice something stirring within the world around her, an unexpected journey leads her beyond everything she thought she understood. Along the way, she encounters extraordinary creatures, each shaped by a different element and each carrying their own way of experiencing the world.

But sometimes, the smallest ripple can travel farther than anyone imagined. And sometimes, things are connected in a way our own point of view has been too small to see.

The Ripple: An Awakening to the Great Wave is a story of discovery, connection, belonging, and the quiet realization that even the smallest among us can create a ripple that matters. ✨🌊

Stories with heart

I’m Shannon, a special education teacher, mother, and creator of The Little Light Library. After 26 years in education, I created this series from a belief that children can explore big ideas when those ideas are wrapped in wonder. Through the luminous world of Sylvalume and its extraordinary creatures, I hope to create stories that brighten the little light inside each reader and inspire them to spread that light to others, making the world a better place.
