About the Author

Stories with heart

I’m Shannon, a special education teacher, mother, and creator of The Little Light Library. After 26 years in education, I created this series from a belief that children can explore big ideas when those ideas are wrapped in wonder. Through the luminous world of Sylvalume and its extraordinary creatures, I hope to create stories that brighten the little light inside each reader and inspire them to spread that light to others, making the world a better place.
